FAQ
Frequently Asked Recital Questions
What and where is this annual show? In May each year, we rent a local high school auditorium to offer the kids an opportunity to perform on a stage. Parents and extended family and friends may attend the show. There is a $6.00 ticket fee for adults, $3.00 per child, (no charge for performing students) to attend to help cover the cost of auditorium rental, additional staff to help with the children, and other costs of putting on the show.
How long is the show? The show is around 1 hour, consisting of several schools/childcare centers participating.
What will my child perform in the show? Your child will perform two special dances on the stage with friends from their school. At the end of the show, all the kids go back on stage for the Grande Finale.
What time is the show? Your child will perform in ONE show. Times will be announced in May. Tentative times are 9:30, 12:00, 3:00, and 6:00, subject to change slightly.
What do the costumes look like? This year we have found an affordable costume so all the dancers will be dressed the same; each class will have a leotard with attached tutu ballet costume with different color accents and hair accessories. Boys wear a sequin vest and bow tie and complete with their own dark pants.
Pictures of the costumes will be posted on the website soon.
When do I get my child’s costume? Costumes will be given to you at our dress rehearsal in May along with show details including a map and show time.
Is my child too young? This show is specifically designed for pre-school & toddler age kids.
Their teacher will be with them so they will know what to do. Remember this is about having fun and building confidence. (Some of our young two-year-olds will have the dress rehearsal as their performance if they are not ready for a large audience yet.)
